Less than 24 hours…

Standard

As the time draws near for me to embark on this new journey, I sit here with various emotions running through me. First of all, I feel humbled that God has put me on this path and I trust that His reasons for doing so will become known when I least expect it. I’m ready to be His hands, feet, voice, and anything else He wants me to be, for the people of Guatemala. Secondly, there’s an abundance of anxiety, excitement, and nervousness within me because I don’t know what to expect. They have spent weeks training us, but I feel like no amount of training can truly prepare us for what we will experience (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) on this trip. When I made the decision to do this, I knew it would be something that would change my life forever. Little did I know, those changes would start before even leaving. Finally, I feel incredibly lucky and thankful! God has blessed me with the best support system in my friends and family. Their unconditional love and encouragement to follow my dreams keeps me going. My mission group, who I consider family now, is full of the most amazing individuals. God knew what He was doing, when He brought us together to do His work. Their hearts are full of love, generosity, compassion, kindness, and warmth. I feel blessed to have them in my life and on this journey with me. We have all worked so hard to prepare for this and I’m eager to see how everything plays out. My heart, mind, body, and soul are open and ready to embrace whatever comes our way this week. I have faith that God will guide us every step of the way and watch over us during our time in Guatemala. 🙂

God Bless,
❤ Ebony
